Some splashes for an upcoming project. They’re pretty cool as is!

I was lucky enough to be asked to shoot some of St. Louis’ most talented athletes by AVID Magazine for their June issue. I worked with Rams Football players, Danny Amendola and Craig Dahl, Blues Hockey players, T.J. Oshie and Cam Janssen and the legendary Ozzie Smith. AVID is a golf lifestyle magazine based in STL and the shoot was for the feature story focusing on pro athletes in town who also love to play golf. Shot over 3 days, it was great to have the guys in my studio goofing off and having fun with different concepts and equipment combining each of their respective sports and golf. We definitely had a more than a few “John, why are you making me do this” moments but I always like to push the envelope a bit to see how far subjects are willing to go for an interesting picture. No worries, boys, none of the duds made it into the final article.
